Grandville Botball teams bring home awards from St. Louis Regional Tournament

Grandville Botball teams have completed their first season! This intial season was a bit of an experiment, as we fielded two teams for this national robotics league. These two teams, one made up of sixth graders and one comprised of seventh and eigth graders, traveled to participate in a regional Botball tournament in late April.

Our kids had a busy trip to St. Louis, finding time to compete in the Botball tournament as well as attend a St. Louis Cardinals game (in the pouring rain), visit the Museum of Westward Expansion, take a trip to the top of the Gateway Arch, and have a victory celebration at Gateway Fun Park.

We are very proud of our teams, as they had a great first year. Our sixth grade team took fifth place overall in St. Louis, bringing home a finalist award and taking third place in Robot Design and Documentation. Our seventh and eighth grade team also brought home awards, taking sixth place overall and bringing home a finalist award.
